9-13-2006: So much to do... and time to do it!
As some of you might have heard, I've finally gone full-time working for TOGC. Well, that's not 100% true, as frankly this gig still doesn't pay my rent, but I've considerably cut the amount of stuff I do besides TOGC. Because, well, that's what I want to do.

Anyway, without further ado, here's my current to-do list regarding Dungeon Bash.

First, there'll be the Print-On-Demand (POD) version of the rulebook, including all the tables. As you might know from downloading the recent rules update (v1.1), I've redesigned the encounter tables, so that more tables fit on a page. Now, as I'm working on the POD, I'm giving the treasure tables the same treatment, because fewer pages means fewer costs for the POD (these will be added to the next DB update, v1.2).

But that's not all I'm doing for the POD. There's a whole bunch of tables during play, and it'd be a pain to search the book for it, right? Simply adding the tables as (another) appendix simply wouldn't work, as you'd have to go back and forth between the pages - dungeon generator, treasure tables, and encounter tables.
So here's the plan: The POD will be saddle-stitched. I'll add the table to the center of the book, so you can take them out, and have a few double pages you can easily access during play. And, even better: each double page will feature the same group of pages - they won't be mixed. Neat, huh?*

In the meantime I'm still finishing the first expansion (DBX: Urban). Just like the main rules, that book just keeps on growing, as I'm constantly adding more stuff to it. Nevertheless it won't be that long until DBX: Urban sees the light of day. Let's say 2006 - although I'm aiming for an early October release, I won't promise anything ;)

What else is on the list? Well, the second expansion (DBX: Wild), obviously, but that's not all. Some time down the road I'll take all the neat house rules found here, add more of my own material, and make them into a web-enhancement PDF.

The POD will be out in a week or two, I'm pretty certain of that. After that, the expansion - but you might see another new TOGC product in the meantime...

*UPDATE (9-23-2006):
I've just checked with RPGNow.com to hear what they think about my fancy idea for the POD (tables at the center to be taken out), and they adviced me not to - it'd be too hard to re-bent the staples as they were. And as I don't want you to destroy your books, here's what I'll do:
The tables will be added as an appendix (or two), with a permission to photocopy for personal use at the bottom. That way you could either use the book as is, or photocopy any and all tables you need.
